Ian has worked within a number of industries over the last 35 years which has included FMCG, Automotive, Retail, and Financial Services.  Prior to creating IRS Executive Search he set up and ran his own Financial Services Company (Young FS) for 6 years before selling the company and making a career change into Executive Search.

 

IRS Executive Search has now been running successfully and building up its client base steadily for the last 17 years. During this time he has worked on assignments across diverse range of industries and high profile global corporates in such industries as Aerospace, Airport, Automotive, Automotive Aftermarket, Agriculture, Construction, Consultancy, Cosmetics, Energy, Engineering, Environment, Food, Financial Services, Leisure, Media, Retail, Sport and Venture Capital.

 

He has worked on projects both in the UK and internationally, including emerging markets, at middle management, senior management and board level.

Associate Director

Paul has 40 years’ Aviation experience. He has held senior posts including Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Technical Director at two airlines, leading both airlines to prestigious sought after industry awards.

He holds an MBA and a Fellowship from the Royal Aeronautical Society - FRAeS.

Paul started his career as an aircraft engineering apprentice and has a background in the Airline industry as well as Aerospace. He has been involved with all aspects of these industries including aircraft maintenance, operations, commercial, flight operations, safety and security, quality and compliance, crisis management, contract negotiation and aircraft leasing. He has also had full P&L responsibility.

He has a proven track record in leading significant teams of people. Paul is also able to exert influence at all levels including customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.

He is Civil Aviation Authority approved at two airlines.

Associate Director

Alasdair has 25 years’ Human Resources experience. He has held senior posts including Head of H.R. at London Luton Airport, project roles within Superdrug, May Gurney (now Kier Group)and a number of generalist positions within the telecommunications, hospitality and security sectors. Alasdair's key skills are change management, TUPE, acquisitions and mergers, organisation design, redundancy, employee consultation, employee relations and employee engagement. 

 

He  worked with the H.R. team that supported the successful merger of NTL and Telewest to create the new Virgin Media business, and while at May Gurney completed the acquisition of the ECT Recycling business. his experience of cultural change and change management were instrumental in delivering the key changes made within London Luton Airport's internal culture and employee engagement initiatives, enabling the airport's workforce to be better prepared for the significant growth that the business has planned, and the disruption of a £100 million redevelopment.
